Debuting in 1996 with a four-issue season, The Grand Salami has published six issues per year — seven when the M’s made the postseason — ever since. #1 April

Featuring Ichiro Suzuki on the cover and Kenji Johjima on the backpage poster, this issue previews the 2007 season. Included are interviews with M’s manager Mike Hargrove, bench coach John McLaren, and former star outfielder Jay Buhner. Mike Gastineau introduces fans to new play-by-play man Dave Sims in his “Voice of Reason” column and Jim Caple’s “Seamhead” column looks at marquee dates on the 2007 schedule.

#3 June

A nifty Ichiro cover this month with 8 pages of inside material on June’s big story, the return of Ken Griffey, Jr., to Seattle during an Interleague series with the Cincinnati Reds.
